NEVADA CITY, CA – The worldwide electronics assembly market consisted of approximately $1.45 trillion in terms of cost of goods sold (COGS) as of 2021, a new report says.
The OEM market has nearly recovered from the disruption of Covid-19, with revenue growing 2.9% in 2021, while contract manufacturing services companies saw sales rise nearly 15%, says New Venture Research (NVR), which prepared the report. The firm based its research on nearly 390 OEMs.
Forecasts through 2026 are expected to be strong for smartphones, automotive self-driving/guidance, large-screen digital TVs, and medical diagnostic and monitoring technology.
