EGER, HUNGARY — Eurocircuits is currently in the process of moving into its new assembly facility in Eger, Hungary, with an expected completion of the move by the end of the week.
The new facility features seven assembly lines – two more than the company's old assembly building – the production floor of the new building is 2,500 sq. m. compared to the 840 sq. m. of the old one. The new facility also features a second selective soldering machine, a second vapour phase soldering machine, a third reflow oven, and a third solder paste jetter. It also includes additional storage capacity for components and feeders, with six additional Mycronic storage towers joining the eight existing ones and two more Dexon paternoster storage systems bringing the total number to three.
The machines for the new building were delivered last month, and the company began the moving process at the beginning of this week. During the move, the company has kept one assembly line working in its old plant, along with another line in its facility in Aachen, Germany. The old Hungary plant's line will remain active until the new facility has an assembly line up and running.
