BERENYI, HUNGARY -- Videoton said consolidated 2022 revenue was HUF286 billion ($806.7 million), up 29% from the previous year, and a new record for the EMS company.
In euros, sales rose more than 20% year-over-year.
Operating profit rose 74% to HUF32.7 billion, and EBITDA topped HUF40 billion. Material-free production value per person also increased.
Employment rose to 9,200 from 8,900 during the year.
Among the fastest-growing businesses for Videoton are microphone manufacturing, auto parts, and household items. New projects being launched at the company include installed PCBs for electric and hybrid cars, automotive plastics, a blood analysis device and a vacuum cleaner plastic component. In 2021, the company's RMA activity expanded to include repair of a 3-D printer.
