EL SALTO, MEXICO – Foxconn has purchased an NT827 million ($26.5 million) plot of land here with the aim to bolster its AI server production capabilities.
The purchase of the 421,600 sq. m. plot of land was made through Foxconn's Mexican subsidiary, FII AMC Mexico, and bolstered by a $30 million injection from its Singapore-based unit, Cloud Network Technology. With the acquisition of the land, Foxconn plans to complement its existing SMT development hubs in the United States and Vietnam, alongside its production lines in Taiwan, the company said in a regulatory filing.
