ATLANTA, GA – Koh Young will host the next STMA Atlanta Chapter technical meeting at its Americas headquarters in Duluth, GA, on Aug. 15.

In the technical meeting, Vaughan Carlson, president of Value Engrafting will provide a comprehensive tutorial on testing and inspection processes critical to the PC board manufacturing team. Topics will include automated inspection (optical and x-ray), in-circuit test/flying probe test, and functional test. The presentation will highlight the importance of maximizing fault coverage to ensure a high return-on-investment and will offer strategies to minimize the "Untested Device List" while saving money at each step of the process.

Carlson, a veteran of the ATE (automatic test equipment) industry, holds a BSEE from Mississippi State University and an MSEE from Southern Methodist University. He is the founder of VALUE Engrafting, a test engineering service company based in Huntsville, AL, established in 1988. His extensive experience includes starting his career at General Dynamics in Ft. Worth, TX, working on the F-16 fighter for the US Air Force.
