HYDERABAD, INDIA – Indian electronics manufacturer Cyient DLM has announced the acquisition of US-based Altek Electronics.

Altek has a strong footprint in the medical & healthcare and industrial sectors, and its acquisition expands Cyient's presence in the United States and its capability in those sectors, Cyient said in a release, and Altek's ITAR certification also positions the company to address the growing US defense market.

The acquisition also adds an additional 80,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, located in Torrington, CT, to Cyient's capacity.
