SINGAPORE – MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions has expanded its production facility at 14 Tuas Avenue 10, doubling its manufacturing footprint and boosting capacity for Argomax, the company’s silver sintering paste. This multi-million-dollar investment aims to meet rising global demand for high-performance materials used in power electronics, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) sector.
Argomax enables low-temperature, low-pressure sintering for advanced power module bonding. The material supports more efficient, lightweight EV powertrain systems, directly enhancing range and performance. The expansion aligns with Singapore’s Manufacturing 2030 vision and received strong support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).
“Expanding our facility in Singapore is a strategic move that reflects both the rising global demand for interconnect materials and our confidence in Singapore’s strong manufacturing base,” said Rick Fricke, executive vice president.
MacDermid Alpha’s partnerships with Nanyang Technological University and Kuprion, now part of the company, are expected to further drive innovation in next-generation materials. Tom Hunsinger, vice president of semiconductor assembly, emphasized the importance of EDB’s support, stating, “This expansion is a testament to the collaborative spirit that defines Singapore’s innovation landscape.”
