WASHINGTON, DC – The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported that global semiconductor sales reached $62.1 billion in July, a 20.6% increase year-over-year and a 3.6% rise month-over-month. The results, compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS), reflect a three-month moving average.
SIA president and CEO John Neuffer noted that sales remain strong, exceeding June’s totals and significantly outpacing July 2024 levels. He highlighted that demand growth is being led by the Asia Pacific region and the Americas. Industry analysts view the July performance as further evidence of resilient global chip demand, especially for applications driving AI, automotive and advanced communications technologies.
