SUZHOU, CHINA – Scanfil is investing EUR 9 million (about US$10.6 million) on the expansion of its Suzhou plant, driven by a positive customer outlook. The investment will increase the facility’s area by 15,700 square meters, bringing the total area to nearly 37,000 square meters upon completion in 2027.

“In 2025, our global customer outlook improved and sales reached record levels, boosting our growth especially in China. To meet the growing demand and support our customers’ growth, we will invest EUR 9 million in the Suzhou facility,” said Scanfil CEO Christophe Sut. “The investment follows Scanfil’s normal investment model, where we first expand the facility and then add machinery and other production capabilities based on customer orders.”

The expansion plan is subject to applicable authority approval, which is expected during the first half of 2026. If approved, construction is planned to begin soon after that. The facility expansion is expected to be fully operational around mid-2027.

The Suzhou plant specializes in electronics manufacturing and system integration. It serves a broad range of global customers, supporting primarily the Chinese market.
