WASHINGTON, DC – Global semiconductor sales reached $88.8 billion in February, rising 7.6% from January and surging 61.8% compared to the same month last year, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).

The strong growth reflects sustained demand across key regions, with Asia-Pacific, the Americas and China leading year-over-year gains. Sales in Asia-Pacific rose 93.5%, followed by the Americas at 59.2% and China at 57.4%, while Europe increased 42.3%. Japan was the only region to post a slight decline.

Month-over-month, all major regions recorded growth, led by the Americas at 12.6% and Europe at 10.2%, indicating continued momentum entering 2026.

SIA said the semiconductor market is expected to remain strong throughout the year, with global sales projected to approach $1 trillion annually as demand from AI, data centers, and advanced electronics continues to expand.
