HONG KONG -- Kingboard Holdings is reporting a net profit of HK$2.7 billion for the six months ended June 30. This marks a 4% increase over the same period last year, and is primarily driven by its laminate business, which saw profit growth of more than 200% amid strong demand and shortages of laminates and other materials.
Kingboard management believes this profit growth is the result of an increase in laminate sales volume and higher selling prices.
