TORONTO – Celestica Inc. has acquired Displaytronix, a provider of flat-panel display repair services. Terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition gives Celestica a leg up in the rapidly growing FPD market.


Displaytronix repairs LCD and plasma flat-panel displays found in notebook computers, flat-panel monitors, high-definition televisions, handhelds and other devices. The company performs such services as repair, recovery and replacement of backlights and inverters, tape automated bonding, anisotropic-conductive film, and polarizer replacement.

“With Displaytronix’s industry expertise and technical capability in flat-panel repair, Celestica will be able to provide full functional repair services for LCDs and plasma flat panels, as well as complete support for both notebooks and handheld devices,” said Bert Pendergast, vice president, After-Market Services, Celestica.
