MINNEAPOLIS – David Hillman and Matt Hamand of Rockwell Collins took home top honors at the SMTA International conference, winning the Best of Conference award for their paper, "Lead-Free Feasibility Program: Assembly and Testing of a Functional IPC Class 3 Avionics Data Unit.”

Other winners include Randy Schueller of Dell (Best of Proceedings for "Creep Corrosion on Lead-Free Printed Circuit Boards in High Sulfur Environments”) and Matthew Kelly, Marie Cole, Jim Wilcox, Jim Bielick, Timothy Younger and David Braun of IBM Corp. (Best International Paper for Qualification of a Lead-Free Card Assembly and Test Process for a Server Complexity PCBA.")
 
SMTA awards the winners $1,000.
