ST. LOUIS -- LaBarge received a $2.3 million contract from BAE Systems to produce power control enclosure assemblies for the M113 armored personnel carrier.

The company expects production to begin in April and continue through Sept. 2006 at its Huntsville, AK, facility. The lightly armored vehicle is equipped with a computer network that functions as a mobile command post for the U.S. Army. The LaBarge-built electronic enclosures control the central conditioning and distribution of AC and DC power to all systems of the vehicle including computers, weapons and lighting.
