SAN JOSE – Worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached $10.8 billion in the first quarter, SEMI today reported. This is 4% higher than the fourth quarter of 2006 and about 12% above the same quarter last year.

Worldwide semiconductor equipment bookings were $10.5 billion in the first quarter, 6% above last year and down 5% sequentially.

The April book-to-bill ratio was 1.00.
SAN BRUNO, CAWorldwide Manufacturing USA Inc., a contract electronics manufacturer, announced that revenues increased 17% in the first quarter over last year.

Revenues were $2.8 million compared to $2.4 million year-over-year. Net income was $117,310 compared to $42,132 in 2006.

The increase in both revenues and profit was attributed to greater demand for the company's products and services.
