MINNEAPOLIS -- EMS firm Nortech Systems returned to first-quarter profitability despite flat net sales of $21.7 million.
GARBSEN, GERMANY – LPKF Laser & Electronics AG boosted its sales in the first quarter to $22.2 million, up 74%.
The quarterly EBIT of $5.4 million and an EBIT margin of 24% were well above original forecasts, the firm said.
The growth is attributed to business development within the Cutting & Structuring Lasers and the Rapid Prototyping segments.
The board upgraded its forecast for the year, expecting sales of at least $75.9 million and an EBIT margin of at least 14%.
