BANNOCKBURN, IL – Total North American PCB shipments in February 2023 were up 5.6% compared to the same month last year. Compared to the preceding month, February shipments were up 16.4%, according to the IPC's monthly North American Printed Circuit Board Statistical Program. The book-to-bill ratio stands at 0.99.
BANNOCKBURN, IL – Total North American EMS shipments in February were up 5.1% compared to the same month last year, and down 4.9% from January, according to this month's findings in the IPC's North American Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) Statistical Program. The book-to-bill ratio stands at 1.30.
MILPITAS, CA – Global fab equipment spending for front-end facilities is expected to decrease 22% year-over-year to $76 billion in 2023 from a record high of $98 billion in 2022 before rising 21% YoY to $92 billion in 2024 to reclaim lost ground, SEMI announced in its latest quarterly World Fab Forecast report. The 2023 decline will stem from weakening chip demand and higher inventory of consumer and mobile devices.
