MADISON, AL — January 2017 — STI Electronics, Inc., a full service organization providing training services, training materials, analytical/failure analysis, prototyping, and small-to-medium volume contract PCB assembly, is pleased to announce that it will host an Introduction to Robotic Soldering course that will include a lecture and hands-on work with equipment in conjunction with Fancort Industries, Inc. The course is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 20, 2017 at STI’s facility in Madison, AL.

This course will cover the fundamentals of robotic soldering including; basic solder theory, quality requirements, establishing a profile, design guidelines (e.g. board and fixturing), cost advantages from manual to robotic soldering and hands-on experience working with a high performance soldering robot.

The course is designed for process engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production managers. The instructor – Bill Rahn – has 30 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. He currently provides all training and installs on UNIX JU Soldering Robots.
