Two SMT production lines have been placed in the newly expanded space of Assel, Poland based Contract Manufacturing Services provider.

New SMT lines will meet the increased demand from customers and provide appropriate level of spare capacity to ensure flexibility.

The latest line includes two Siplace machines by ASM and new DEK printer with enhanced solder paste management system.

Investment in Siplace allows for high efficiency of the manufacturing process. ‘With 110K cph each, having two units of this equipment means that very complex products can have a very short assembly time, which in turn translates into running assembly fast, in high series’ says a production manager at Assel. ‘Going forward, Assel can manage more high speed high runners with these new SMT machines’.

As for the DEK printer, the new unit is equipped with an automatic paste dispenser and a laser-based measurement system that monitors the height of the paste roll on the board thus reducing risk of either insufficient paste or its overflow.

Assel has also upgraded all of its AOI machines, now all being VI Technology platform and all being high resolution.

Assel offers complex manufacturing services, providing manufacturing services for many global companies, from different business sectors and product applications.
