PHILADELPHIA -- On behalf of the U.S. Army, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has engaged ACI Technologies for the manufacture of a new lot of C6533A Intercom units.

The C6533A is a communication device that provides audio monitoring and voice transmission selection capabilities to multiple radio channels, as well as internal communications between pilot and crew on rotary wing aircraft. It is approved for use on the CH47 Chinook/Cargo and UH60 Blackhawk/Utility helicopters, but is widely deployed on a variety of rotary wing aircraft. The new flight tested and fully DOD qualified Intercom is a drop-in, pin-for-pin match with the legacy system and is designed with COTS components which are readily available and allow for low cost maintenance. This new contract will satisfy the need for replacement intercoms currently in service. This is just one of many ways we are working to help make the world a safer place.
