The company has also demonstrated its commitment to putting the well-being of Hoosier workers first.
The STAR status is part of the Voluntary Protection Program, which recognizes Hoosier employers who exceed workplace safety and health expectations.
The Jasper facility has limited and eliminated workplace incidents over the past three years, having only a few incidents per year.
The facility’s three-year total case incident rate is 10% below the 2016 national average.
Kimball Electronics’ Jasper manufacturing location was established in 1961 to build electronic organs. It offers complete product lifecycle support for electronic manufacturing assemblies in the medical, industrial, automotive, and public safety market segments.
The facility houses a workforce of more than 500 employees.
