Kirby & Demarest was founded in 1973 by Dave Demarest as Demarest Associates, and has been serving the Pacific Northwest microelectronic community ever since. In the early days, Demarest concentrated on the hybrid or "chip & wire" area of electronic assembly, and gradually added equipment and supplies for the PCB portion of the business.

Major customers at the time, and still, include Boeing's Microelectronics Center, Sundstrand (now Honeywell), ICI (now Crane Interpoint), Tektronix, Intel, Micron, MCMS (now Plexus) and MSEI/Biotronik. For more information about Kirby & Demarest, visit www.kirbydemarest.com.
