MERIDIAN, IDAHO ― January 2019 ― Computrol, Inc., a world-class provider of mid- to low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing services to OEMs, is pleased to announce its 35th year in business. Founded in 1984, Computrol has a long history of providing electronics contract manufacturing services and support to blue-chip customers ranging from military and medical electronics, to telecommunications and computer peripherals.
Under the direction of Charles Scott, president & CEO, Computrol’s electronics manufacturing services (EMS) business has increased to include seven surface mount technology (SMT) lines in two factories and sales revenues have increased 2500 percent.
The company focuses on providing electronics manufacturing services throughout the lifecycle of high-mix products. Maintaining this focus enables Computrol to provide faster assembly operations than those in large factories.
Computrol’s success is largely attributable to its ability to manufacture high-quality products in small to medium lot sizes. The focus on lower volume electronics contract manufacturing has fostered the development of highly differentiated services that are specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of low-volume contract manufacturing customers.
Core to its business, Computrol continues to focus on prototyping and low- to medium-volume, high-mix production of PCB, box build, cable harness and backplane assemblies. Computrol maintains its ISO 9001-2008 certification, ISO 13485 specific to medical device quality systems, AS9100 specific to military and aerospace quality systems, IPC class II and III and J-Std certified as well as being ITAR registered and lead-free RoHS compliant.
