Kennesaw, Georgia, USA – Yamaha Motor Corporation USA‘s Intelligent Machinery (IM) Division recently honored Technical Services Inc. (TSI), an Oak Harbor, Washington-based electronics manufacturer, with a 25-year, long-term partnership award.

The award was presented to TSI representatives by George Babka, IM Group Sales General Manager, at the annual IPC/APEX 2019 conference and trade symposium in San Diego.

In making the announcement, Babka stated, “We are proud to present this award to TSI in recognition of so many years of close partnership, working together to advance the technology of electronics manufacturing and assembly. We look forward to the next 25 years of cooperation and teamwork as we further the goals of our companies.”

TSI has purchased more than 40 Yamaha machines, and their business growth has necessitated a recent move into a new, larger, 100,000 ft2 manufacturing facility. Accepting the partnership award from George Babka was TSI’s President and CEO, Abdul Sharif.

“I am very happy to accept this award for TSI, and want to thank all of the service and sales people who have contributed to our success for these past 25 years.” Mr. Sharif said. He added “It is a pleasure to work with Yamaha and we are glad to have a partner we can trust to support us during our expansion.”

Speaking on behalf of Trans-Tec America, Yamaha’s North American Distributor, Rick McCullough stated: “We are excited to be a significant part of this quarter-century relationship with TSI. In addition to this, Trans-tec has a long relationship with Yamaha IM and has been our partner for over 30 years. It is rare in this age to have such strong and lasting partnerships with suppliers and customers in this industry.” He concluded, “We have a great respect for TSI and their commitment to remaining an Employee Owned Manufacturing Facility in the USA, employing generations of familes in Oak Harbor.”
