Speedprint Technology will demonstrate two advanced printer platforms at this year’s Productronica exhibition on stand A2.461.

The company’s flagship SP710AVi machine will feature on-board dispensing with the innovative dual syringe ADu+ and the award-winning S-Track traceability solution. The very long board SP1550 machine will be co-located with the ultra-flexible atom3 placement machine from sister company Europlacer, demonstrating a highly effective configuration for very long board (VLB) processing.

When equipped with Speedprint’s ADu+ dual dispensing head, the SP710AVi machine allows manufacturers to eliminate a separate process from the SMT line by allowing dispensing to take place inside the screen printer after solder paste printing. The ADu+ module can be used to add extra paste or glue after printing; it can dispense media as dots or lines. The unique S-Track option integrates a barcode placement system into the printer. It automatically positions barcode labels anywhere on the board to provide traceability right from the very start of the surface mount assembly process.

The company’s Very Long Board printer platforms comprise two models: the SP1220 and SP1550, accommodating boards up to 1220mm (48 inches) and 1550mm (63 inches) respectively and include 2D inspection capability. The larger SP1550 will be on display at Productronica. Like the flagship SP700 Series, the VLB printers deliver print accuracy to 12.5µm at 6-sigma and use four fiducials to optimise alignment – a critical consideration for long boards. The SP1550 is ideal for LED lighting applications.
