New Britain, CT, March 3, 2020 - MicroCare Corporation is pleased to announce the promotion of Jerald Chan to the newly established position of Managing Director, MicroCare Asia Pte Ltd. The creation of the position speaks to the growth of MicroCare and the company’s desire to continue to expand globally.

Jerald has been with MicroCare since 2014. He will direct sales, marketing and administration operations of all MicroCare distributors, sales representatives and end users in the APAC region including India, greater China, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He will also have a more prominent role in determining the company’s strategic direction including regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability.

Tom Tattersall, MicroCare Executive Vice President and COO, is pleased with Jerald’s appointment. “Jerald is instrumental in the company’s success as we continue to grow in the Pacific region,” Tattersall said.  

“MicroCare has been serving the Asia Pacific markets for nearly a decade, working with customers in many industries, including electronics, metal finishing, transportation, photonics, medical devices and aerospace. Jerald is committed to continue the growth in the Asia market. “It has been an exciting upward trajectory for MicroCare Asia since its inception. We will continue to build a stable and strong team in Singapore. I look forward to working with such an outstanding team of people to ensure the company takes full advantage of our opportunities,” Jerald said.

Jerald earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing management from Murdoch University of Western Australia. Prior to joining MicroCare, he managed the Asia-Pacific sales operations for a German company providing high-tech electrical storage for off-grid sites. He lives with his family in Singapore. He will work from MicroCare Asia headquarters in Singapore.
