AVON, MA ― StaticStop, a division of SelecTech, Inc., and leader in the manufacture of innovative ESD flooring products that save time and money, is pleased to announce the company’s 30th anniversary. Founded in 1993, StaticStop manufactures flooring products from recycled materials and uses one million pounds of recycled materials annually.

StaticStop was founded with the mission of creating valuable products from scrap plastics. Their FreeStyle ESD and SelecTile ESD products are made with recycled content and are 100 percent recyclable.

Tom Ricciardelli, SelecTech President, stated: “We are excited to hit this milestone. It’s not easy to use scrap materials and our longevity is a testament to our ability to the quality and value that our products offer our customers. So many years, so many pounds of scrap material converted into useful product!”

StaticStop has had impressive growth in recent years as a result of demand for two if its new products: PolyStyle ESD Resinous Flooring and SelecTile ESD in colors. Additionally, the company has seen increased demand in Mexico. Despite the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, Mexico’s consumer electronics market has had an unstoppable development, recording one of the most significant sales volumes.

Additionally, StaticStop had an exceptionally strong presence in the automotive electronics industry. The use of electronics in the automotive industry is expanding at a tremendous rate as new systems are being added annually. These systems have to function properly to meet comfort and safety requirements, all while working in a mobile environment that is subjected to more stress than a typical electronic device. Failures in devices can have far-reaching impacts.

Having a reliable ESD Protected Area (EPA) is critical and often required by the end-users of the products being made.
