CRANSTON, RI — September 2025 — Federal Electronics, a leader in providing advanced electronic manufacturing services, has expanded its production capabilities with the installation of a new Mycronic MyPro S30 Stencil Printer at its Hermosillo facility. The addition strengthens Federal’s newest SMT line, delivering the speed, precision, and consistency required for high-mix, high-complexity assemblies.

The MyPro S30 is part of Mycronic’s proven S series of stencil printers, known for their reliability, accuracy, and ease of use. A robust, worry-free workhorse, the MyPro S30 supports volume production with cycle times as fast as 14 seconds. The system is designed to handle growing batch sizes or adapt to production peaks without compromising quality.

Key features include an advanced vision alignment system that ensures complete accuracy between stencil and PCB, and integrated climate control to maintain solder paste characteristics throughout the process, delivering consistent, high-quality prints even under demanding conditions. Together, these capabilities make the S30 an ideal fit for Federal Electronics’ customers in industrial, medical, and other high-reliability markets.

“Our investment in the MyPro S30 reflects our focus on combining skilled craftsmanship with advanced automation,” said Ed Evangelista, President of Federal Electronics. “By adding this system to our Hermosillo operation, we’re boosting speed, precision, and repeatability—giving our customers confidence that their most complex products will be built to the highest standards.”

Since its establishment in 2010, Federal Electronics’ Hermosillo operation has been a cornerstone of its North American manufacturing network, employing more than 350 professionals and providing cost-effective, nearshore manufacturing for OEMs across the U.S. and Mexico. Integrated with the company’s headquarters in Cranston, RI, through a centralized IT and ERP system, the Hermosillo facility delivers the benefits of proximity and efficiency while maintaining strict quality oversight.

The installation of the MyPro S30 continues Federal’s strategy of investing in advanced automation to scale production, increase process control, and maintain the quality that defines its reputation as a trusted EMS partner.
