JASPER, IN -- Kimball International said net income at its electronics manufacturing services segment rose 127% to $7.5 million for the period ended Sept. 30. Net sales were up 7% during the quarter to $175.6 million.
BANGKOK – Fabrinet reported fiscal first-quarter 2014 revenue of $171.6 million, up 8.2% year-over-year.
WASHINGTON, DC – Worldwide sales of semiconductors reached $80.92 billion during the third quarter, the industry’s highest-ever quarterly total, with a sequential increase of 8.4%, says the Semiconductor Industry Association. Global sales for September reached $26.97 billion, the highest monthly total ever, up 8.7% year-over-year.
SHENZHEN -- Nam Tai Electronics today announced third quarter net income fell 27% year-over-year despite a 61% jump in revenue. The contract electronics manufacturer reported $18 million in profits on sales of $284.2 million for the period ended Sept. 30.
PATHUMTANI, THAILAND -- SVI Public Co. announced EMS sales fell 1% from last year to $68 million for the September quarter. Sales were up 13% sequentially on new customers and new audio/visual and medical programs.
