ELKHART, IN -- CTS Corp. today promoted CFO Vinod M. Khilnani to president and chief executive, succeeding current chairman and CEO Donald K. Schwanz.

The move is effective July 2. Schwanz had previously announced his intent to retire during 2007.
CTS is one of the largest EMS companies in North America.

CTS also said it would name current board member Roger R. Hemminghaus chairman. Schwanz will remain on the board as chairman emeritus through 2007.

Khilnani, 54, has 30 years of leadership experience in finance, strategy, mergers and acquisitions and operating roles in the U.S. and Europe, including 18 years at Cummins. He has been with CTS as senior vice president and chief financial officer since 2001.
