Flextronics today said its second-quarter net sales were $8.9 billion, up 59% year-over-year.
Adjusted net income for the quarter was $230 million, up 57% compared to the same period in 2007.
For the first half, sales were $17.2 billion, up 38%, while net income was $169 million, down 26% year-over-year.
The electronics manufacturer showed revenue growth in all market segments. Flextronics CEO Mike McNamara noted “new product and customer wins, increased diversification in our customer base, improved SG&A and operating efficiencies.”
For its fiscal third quarter ending Dec. 31, revenue is expected to be in the range of $8 billion to $9 billion, the company said.
