LIVERMORE, CA -- Sanmina-SCI has suspended operations at its machining operations here due to a lack of business, according to a published report.

The company circulated a memo to employees, the report said, indicating it would furlough workers and temporarily close the plant for 90 days beginning June 2009.

The company will transfer business to other sites in the US during the shutdown, the memo said.
