FORT WORTH – California’s loss is Texas’ gain as a Foxconn Electronics subsidiary plans to build a computer assembly plant in Fort Worth. Q-Edge is shuttering its operations in Fullerton, CA, and relocating to a 365,000 sq. ft. site north of Fort Worth.
Q-Edge will employ up to 500 workers at the new site, some 200 more than the Fullerton plant did. Roughly 50 employees have relocated with the company, the firm said.
The local city council is voting on a package of tax incentives that could save the firm more than $158,000 over the next decade.
Q-Edge’s Plainfield, IN, operation will remain in business.
