BILLINGSTAD, NORWAY – Top 40 EMS firm Kitron’s revenue was NOK 571.2 million in first quarter of 2009, up 15.4% year-over-year.

Net profit for the quarter was NOK 15.1 million, up slightly from NOK 14.6 million the same period last year.>

Profit before tax reached NOK 19.7 million, up 21.6% compared with the first quarter of 2008.

Cash flow from operations was NOK 35 million compared to a negative cash flow of NOK 60.9 million the prior year.

Orders were down 29.2% to NOK 360.2 million. The order backlog at the end of the first quarter was NOK 731.9 million.
