NEW YORK – Dover Corp. reported revenue for the second quarter was $1.4 billion, down 31% over the prior-year period.
Net earnings for the quarter were $97.1 million, a drop of 28.2% compared to the same period of 2008.
Revenue for the six-month period ended June 30 was $2.8 billion, down 29% year-over-year.
Net earnings for the same six months were $150.5 million, down 46.7% compared to the same period last year.
"The weak year-over-year revenue trends seen in the first quarter continued into the second quarter across a large portion of our portfolio," said Dover's president and CEO Robert A. Livingston.
Dover provides components, equipment, specialty systems and support services in the industrial products, engineered systems, fluid management and electronic technologies markets.
