BRUSSELS – IPTE reported sales fell 23.6% year-over-year to 44 million euros as EMS sales fell 29.7% from last year.

For the quarter, the company swung to a net loss of 2.2 million euros. The firm reported a net loss of 1.34 million euros in the first quarter this year and a net profit of 500,000 euros in the second quarter 2008.

Sales in IPTE's Connect Systems contract manufacturing division fell from 42.3 million euros in 2008 to 29.7 million euros in 2009. Bookings remained nearly constant sequentially at 50.7 million euros.

During the quarter, the firm took 900,000 euros in one-time charges due to refinancing and restructuring.
