SAN JOSE – North America-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment reported $1.29 billion in 90-day average orders for March, up 2.7% sequentially, says
SEMI.
Compared to March 2009, orders are up a giant 423%.
The book-to-bill ratio was 1.19, meaning $119 worth of orders was received for every $100 of product billed for the month.
The 90-average billings for March were $1.08 billion, up 6.4% compared to February, and up 147% year-over-year.
The SEMI book-to-bill is a ratio of three-month moving averages of worldwide bookings and billings for North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Billings and bookings figures are in millions of US dollars.
