FRANKFURT -- The German market for OEM assembly and electronics manufacturing services is expected to grow nearly 15% to 23.6 billion euros this year, a local trade group said.
Sales of bare printed circuit boards will grow 16% to nearly 1.3 billion euros in 2010. Integrated circuit sales will increase 8% to nearly 600 million euros, according to a new report by the ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems Association.
ZVEI forecast global revenues would grow nearly 20% thus year, crediting certain industries such as vehicle electronics, and renewed willingness of some industrial nations to invest.
"Although the growth is taking place on a low production base, we are optimistic that we can put the crisis behind us," says Wolfgang Bochtler, chairman of ZVEI’s PCB and Electronic Systems Association.
