BRUSSELS -- The World Trade Organization has ordered the European Union to scrap its tariffs on certain imported electronics.

In August, a WTO ruling body determined the EU violated the multinational Information Technology Agreement. The EU attaches a 14% levy to flat panel displays, multifunctional printers and other machines that are supposed to be duty-free per the trade deal.

The EU has thus far not moved on the decision.
