ELGIN, IL — Starfire Electronics, an electronics assembly company, seeks to consolidate its operations to a revamped site in this west Chicago suburb.

The company has filed for permits to relocate to a 27,616 sq. ft. location situated in downtown Elgin. It currently in plants in Hampshire, IL, and elsewhere in Elgin.

The permit application says the company would initially employ 31 persons, with an expected ramp to 65 once the plant is at full capacity.
