KREUZWERTHEIM, GERMANY -- A German regional court has found for Seho Systems in its patent dispute against Ersa. Ersa is appealing the judgment.
The Dusseldorf Regional Court determined Ersa violated patent DE 37 37 563 C2, registered in 1987 by Seho. The patent covers a nitrogen tunnel for wave soldering systems. While the patent expired in 2007, the court found Ersa liable for "substantial damages," Seho said in a press release.
An out-of-court settlement could not be reached, which led to the suit, Seho said.
