FAIRPORT, NY -- EMS firm SenDEC has opened a dedicated, $2.5 million new product introduction plant across the street from its main facility here.
The contract electronics manufacturer held dedication ceremonies for the 20,000 sq. ft. factory yesterday.
The site will focus on prototypes, and perform PCB layout, BoM scrubbing, documentation verification, material management, rapid prototyping, testing, and pilot builds. It currently employs 28 workers.
SenDEC was acquired earlier this year by API Technologies, a defense OEM/EMS company based in Orlando. SenDEC had sales last year of $90 million and employs about 210 workers overall.
