BALLERUP, DENMARK – Eltraco Group has split into two companies, effectively dividing responsibility for the company's new and used SMT equipment lines. Under the new structure, Eltraco A/S will focus on new surface mount equipment, consumables and software in the Nordic electronics manufacturing market. SMT House will offer leasing of new capital equipment, and will assume control of used equipment sales.

“The split is a result of the continuing effort to support the development in the SMT market, but also to reflect the Eltraco Group’s long-term strategy to focus and strengthen the two companies’ respective areas and concepts, said Mikael Thomsen, managing director of Eltraco A/S.

Ole Thers, a former manager Eltraco A/S, has been named to run SMT House.
