ZHENGZHOU, CHINA -- A female Foxconn employee died after a six-story fall from her dormitory at the EMS company's plant here, local media are reporting.

Niu Xiaobei, a company intern, apparently slipped and fell while trying to hang laundry outside a window, the reports indicated.

While initially labelled an accident, the incident is drawing further scrutiny after a number of suicides -- often committed by jumping from rooftops -- by Foxconn employees over the past two years.
