BRATISLAVA – Samsung Electronics plans to invest $123 million to modernize its Slovak operations and to prepare for production of new TVs, say published reports.
Samsung has invested about $676.3 million at its two Slovak sites thus far.
The top TV maker could add some 1,000 new jobs, for a total of 5,500 there.
Samsung has asked Slovakia for an incentive in the form of a tax break worth nearly $38 million, reports say.
