DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Dover Corp. has realigned its business units and named John Hartner to run its newly created Printing & Identification segment.

The segment includes printed circuit board industry suppliers DEK, OK International, Markem and Everett Charles Technologies, among others.

The four new business segments are organized around Dover's key end-markets. The conglomerate promoted executive vice president, Electronic Technologies, Jeffrey Niew, to run its Communication Technologies unit. It also named Hartner, formerly executive vice president of Engineered Systems, president and CEO of Printing & Identification, a segment with forecasted 2011 full-year revenue of approximately $1.6 billion. Hartner is a former CEO of DEK and also helped lead the Dover Technology business unit for more than three years.

The company also announced that Dave Van Loan, who was president and chief executive of the former Electronic Technologies unit, is retiring.
