DORSET, UK -- Europlacer reported earnings before taxes rose more than 20% year-over-year across both its major electronics assembly equipment brands.

It was the strongest financial result since the late 1990s, the company said.

The privately held manufacturer develops flexible SMT placement machines under the Europlacer name, and screen printers under the Speedprint brand.

Momentum will continue as Europlacer releases further enhanced productivity solutions and tools, the firm said. Group managing director Derek Gaston said, “We are grateful to every customer who has placed their confidence in us and are delighted to be growing in an increasingly competitive market. We are particularly excited about new developments we will release during the next 12 months, and I am confident these will continue to keep Europlacer as the first choice for true, high-productivity SMT assembly.”
