GUANLAN, CHINA -- A 22-year old Foxconn Technology worker has died at an off-campus private apartment building in this southern China city, and some reports are claiming it was another suicide.

A company statement indicated only that police in nearby Shenzhen informed the company of the worker's death.

"We are deeply saddened by this news and our condolences go out to the family of the employee. We have no other details regarding this tragedy and we are cooperating with Shenzhen law enforcement authorities as they carry out their investigation," Foxconn said in a statement.

The company did not disclose the worker's name, other than to indicate he was 22 years old and male. Local reports claimed the victim jumped from the apartment building. However, those reports have not been confirmed.

Foxconn has been under fire for two years for a rash of suicides at its campuses in China.
