TAIPEI -- Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn), the world's largest contract electronics assembler, today reported unconsolidated September sales rose 8.5% year-over-year to NT$240.54 billion ($8.21 billion).
Revenue for the month rose 8.2% from T$222.31 billion in August. It's September revenue by itself is more than all but a handful of other ODM/EMS companies will accrue for the entire year.
While not commenting on the results, Foxconn likely benefited from the launch of the Apple iPhone5. Foxconn, which is the largest EMS/ODM company and the fourth-largest printed circuit board fabricator, has come under a new round of accusations by labor rights groups for its worker conditions and treatment.
