ATLANTA – RF and microwave printed circuit board design and manufacture, 3D IC packaging, and new component packages are among the leading topics at the upcoming PCB West 2013 technical conference and trade show.

PCB West 2013 will be held Sept. 24 – 26 at the Santa Clara (CA) Convention Center and is sponsored by the UP Media Group publications PRINTED CIRCUIT DESIGN & FAB (pcdandf.com) and CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY (circuitsassembly.com).

PCB West annually provides a conference and exhibition focused on the design and manufacture of PCBs, HDI, electronics assembly and circuit board test.

The September 2012 event attracted more than 2,000 preshow registrants and more than 1,400 attendees for the actual event.

PCB West 2013 includes a three-day Technical Conference consisting of more than 55 presentations, including more than 20 workshops, panel sessions and half- and full-day tutorials. This year’s technical conference features speakers from Siena, Oracle, L-3 and Freescale Semiconductor among many others and features the ever-popular Rick Hartley, Vern Solberg, Susy Webb and Gary Ferrari. Topics range from basic design techniques to flex circuit design and manufacture, advanced RF design, signal integrity, DDR 4 timing, and stencil nanocoating developments.

PCB West 2013 also features a one-day exhibition showcasing the PCB industry’s leading vendors, plus a full day of free technical sessions. Details regarding the conference and exhibition are available at pcbwest.com.

Now in its 22d year, PCB West provides show attendees – printed circuit board engineers, designers, fabricators, assemblers and managers – with the most targeted conference in the PCB industry.

Attendees who register for the conference by Aug. 23 will receive up to a $100 discount on select conference packages. Admission is free for the one-day exhibition and other "FREE Wednesday" events (registration is free, but required). To register or learn more about the show, visit www.pcbwest.com.
